Sheffield based Eldon Tool and Engineering Limited recently announced that their supported charity for 2012 would be the Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity and they kicked off the fundraising with Wear a Wig Day at their Don Road factory on Thursday December 8th.

With much enthusiasm and hilarity the Eldon workforce embraced the event with over 50% of them taking part, all happily paying for the privilege. And of course those who didn’t partake were even happier to contribute!

General Manager Stuart Smith said, “We were delighted that over £100 was raised and this gives a terrific kick-start to the company’s fundraising for Weston Park for the coming year. We are proud to be supporting such a worthy cause and are now starting to plan our charity events for the New Year.”

Weston Park Hospital in Sheffield is one of only three dedicated cancer hospitals in the UK. Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity supports the hospital by funding pioneering cancer research and helping to improve cancer treatments and care for patients from Sheffield, all of South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire and North Derbyshire.
