Objectives:
To work with other members of the Warehouse Team to ensure the efficient picking / assembly / packing / dispatch of product.
In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed you may be required to perform other duties assigned by your manager as reasonably required.
Required Skills:
- Previous warehouse experience would be advantageous
- GCSE or equivalent Maths / English
- Ability to work with a methodical approach
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Full driving licence.
- Fork lift truck licence.
Main Duties:
Receiving stock
- Receive deliveries of stock and raw materials, unload vehicles, check goods received and put away new stock in correct locations and to correct machines. Ensure bin locations are clearly marked. Check stock is correct to order specifications. Advise of discrepancies / damaged stock
Forklift Duties
- As required make use of the forklift to ensure all warehouse tasks are completed in a safe manner. Ensure all daily / weekly checks are carried out in line with current legislation & working practices.
Company Van
- Take responsibility for the Company Van, ensuring all daily / weekly checks are carried out. Maintain adequate water and fuel levels and complete daily paperwork to monitor daily / weekly mileage. Advise of any required actions. Ensure the van is kept clean and tidy at all times.
Ensure work area is kept clean and tidy at all times
- By keeping warehouse tidy – sweeping floors, emptying bins. Ensure H&S procedures are followed at all times.
Assembly of parts
- By pulling parts from stock and filling trays and kits with the correct items.
Labelling of product
- Ensure that the correct label and instructions are attached / included with each product. Photocopying instruction sheets as necessary.
Packing kits
- Packing product into protective cartons, counting, weighing orders. Palletising & wrapping to ensure timely & efficient dispatch to customers. Completion of courier paperwork for customer dispatch.
Delivery of goods
- Delivery and collection of goods as and when required from both customers and suppliers ensuring the correct paperwork is completed.
General
- Assist with monthly stock check on PI
